WEB DEVELOPMENT PLANNING
Key Questions to Ask
Before a site is designed, you need to ask yourself these
questions:
Who are the
targeted visitors to my website? Am I targeting people locally
or nationwide? Think from the viewpoint of your prospects
and customers. What would they be looking for when they search
online?
What
is the purpose of my website? To sell merchandises on line,
to generate sales leads, to provide customer support, or all
of the above?
Why
would someone stay on my website once they found it? Why would
they want to buy my products or contact me? Is there something
special or unique about my products or services? Am I in a
niche market? Do I offer some incentive?
Where
would I advertise and promote my site? Billboards? Search
Engines? Word of Mouth? Business Cards? Pay-Per-Click? Social and business networking sites?
When
do I want to see the results of my internet marketing campaign?
Can I wait a few months to a year? Or do I want some feedback
immediately?
How
would I promote the site on the internet? Should I hire a
professional to manage search engine optimization, link exchange
and pay-per-click for me while I focus on my business?
With millions of sites competing online these days, you must
be able to answer these questions. Web marketing is part of
your overall marketing strategy. When it is planned and developed properly it will generate leads and increase
your revenue!
